Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Beloved, I want to share this scripture with you today. The Lord tells Israel here that they should remember all the way which He has led them for those forty years in the wilderness.
As I was reading this, a thought dropped into my spirit. I have to remember the all the way the Lord has led me. You see beloved, when we go through trials and tribulations we are always quick to pray and seek the Lord. However, sometimes we forget about the wonders God did for us in those difficult times.
I do believe, that when we think back over the years about how God came through for us, even when it was not how we wanted, we will be greatly blessed and our faith will begin to increase. For God can’t change.
If He did it for you once, He will do it again. We must never forget how far the Lord has brought us in our lives. He is the One constant thing we have. Times change, people change but God remains the same. Yesterday today and tomorrow. He is still the same wonder-working God that He was in the days of Egypt.
He tested Israel to see if they would stay faithful, and we all know that they failed Him many times. How true is that today still, I have failed Him more that I can even remember. Yet He is still in control of my life, and of my future. And He has never left me to wonder the wilderness alone.
If you find yourself in that wilderness, just remember that God may be testing you to see what is in your heart. He want’s to see if we will be faithful to His commandments or not! And if you have failed Him, repent and get up, just like Israel did and prepare to move into your land of milk and honey.
Yes the promised land is not far beloved. Keep pressing forward. Follow God even if nothing makes sense around you. You may loose some friends and family along the way. But God will always be there for you.
Beloved take heart. Think about the things that God has done for you in the past. Begin to praise Him for what He can do in your life right now!
